We, at RHA take your privacy very seriously!

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the policies and procedures related to the collection, usage, storage and disclosure of User information residing on the RHA Platform. Also, it defines the rights of the User over this information at any time.

This Privacy Policy is a part of and incorporated within and is to be read along with the Terms of Use (“Terms”). The capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy, but not defined herein, shall have the meaning given to such terms in the Terms.

This Privacy Policy applies to anybody who visits, opens an account or uses the RHA Platform, in any manner, as the case may be, and explicitly acknowledge they accept the present Privacy Policy.

The Company reserves the right to update, change or modify this Privacy Policy at any time.

What information we may collect?

We may collect the following information from our Users:

Information you give us. You may give us information about yourself by registering or opening an account on the RHA Platform or filling in forms on the HomeGenie Platform or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail, WhatsApp or Social Networking Sites (SNS), etc. This could include information both mandatory and optional information.

  • The mandatory information includes what you provide when you register to use the RHA Platform. The information you give us may include your name, e-mail address and mobile number, address, location, photograph or photographs of specific area of your home or such equipment, related to the Home Service you require. In order to verify that the e-mail address provided by you belongs to you, we will send you a verification e-mail. Once, the verification process is complete, your account will be fully functional.
  • You may also choose to provide other optional information in order to express yourself on the RHA Platform, beyond the mandatory information, described above, such as your profile picture, gender, date of birth, nationality and languages you speak, verbal or written feedback, reviews and rating or when you report a complaint on the RHA Platform, etc.

NOTE: We do not collect and store any credit or debit card information on the RHA platform and therefore are not liable for any loss due to loss of such data residing with the payment provider or bank.

Information we collect about you With regard to each of your visits to the RHA Platform, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Plus or any other Social Networking Site (collectively, “SNS”), we may automatically collect the following information:

  • Technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating syatem and platform;
  • Browsing information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) click stream to, through and from the RHA Platform (including date and time); material or information that you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number.
  • SNS site information, if you use your account information with or through SNS to sign in to the RHA Platform, an option of which may be provided by the RHA Platform to you at its sole discretion, we will collect and store your SNS User ID, and other information freely made available to the Company by the SNS. Please be aware that the other information we obtain from the SNS is often dependent on their privacy policies and/or on your settings regarding what information you have consented to share with services like that of Company’s.
  • Non-personally identifiable information, which is non-specific to any particular User who have or are using the RHA Platform visitors to track the total of number of visitors in aggregate form and identify the type of Internet web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer®), operating system (e.g., Windows®, Android, iOS, etc.), type of device, date/ time of User traffic, Session durations, etc. used by the Users.
  • Metadata and Cookies is usually technical data associated with content you submit, post or share on the RHA Platform. Users can add or may have metadata added to their content including geolocation, date, attribution, or other data. We also use cookies to distinguish you from other Users. Information we receive from other sources We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or other services we provide, if you provided your consent to those sources. The said information may be shared internally and combined with data collected on this RHA Platform. We also work closely with third parties (including, for example, suppliers, business partners, sub-contractors, payment service providers, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies, etc.) and may receive information about you from such sources.

How we may use this information?

We use information held about you in the following ways:

Information you give to us.

  • to carry out our obligations arising from any services booked or contracts entered into between you and us or you and our Service Delivery Partners
  • to communicate with you, including to confirm and update you on the status of the Services and respond to your queries and requests
  • to ensure that content from the RHA Platform is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your desktop, mobile or any other device
  • to inform you of promotions, offers, surveys, events, products and services, which may be of interest to you or help us provide better services to our Users
  • to share the information with Service Delivery Partners to help facilitate and improve the quality of Services offered through the RHA Platform
  • to provide you with information about other services we offer that are similar to those, that you are already using or have enquired about
  • to send you Service-related notices i.e., we may also use your contact information to send you marketing email messages unless you opt-out.
  • to reduce credit risk, detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity officials, or orders of court
  • to comply with Applicable Law, the requests of law enforcement and regulatory to enforce our legal rights and remedies
  • to remember information and save access credentials to help you efficiently access your account on subsequent visits
  • to provide you, or permit selected third parties to provide you, with information about services we feel may interest you.
  • to notify you about changes to our Services and update and back-up our records including but not limited to historical transaction data of our Users
  • to verify, store and process your personal particulars and payment to enhance the security of the RHA Platform

Information we collect about you

  • to improve the RHA Platform to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or smartphone
  • to administer the RHA Platform and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes
  • to allow you to participate in interactive features on the RHA Platform, if any, when you choose to do so
  • to publish in SNS sites or on RHA Platform for the promotion of the Company or the RHA Platform
  • to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertising we serve to you and others, and to deliver relevant advertising to you
  • to make suggestions and recommendations to you and other Users of the RHA Platform about Services that may interest you or them
  • to help us provide you with a good experience when you use RHA Platform and also allows us to improve it continuously
  • to enhance our effort to keep the RHA Platform safe and secure so that the information we store is not compromised
  • to better understand the volume of traffic to particular areas of our RHA Platform. This information helps us to serve your information needs.

Information we receive from other sources.

  • We may combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you
  • We may use this information and the combined information for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive)
Where do we store the personal information?

Personal information refers to personal data, whether true or not, about an individual

  • who can be identified from that data; or
  • and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

Under any circumstance, we do not sell, share, rent or lease this sensitive data to any third parties except as provided in this Privacy Policy. We handle this personal or sensitive information very carefully and adopt latest technology and practices to protect it, as defined below.

  • All information you provide to us related to our profile or whatever information is gathered to be able to provide you or while offering the Services via the RHA Platform, is stored in highly secured servers.
  • Access to all our systems is password protected at multiple access levels and user privileges and we ensure passwords are strong, not shared between users and are regularly changed. Logs are maintained for all user activity.
  • Moreover, no credit/debit card details are stored on the RHA Platform. All payment transactions are handled between the customer and the bank, via a payment gateway, via a fully encrypted channel using SSL technology.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, but cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the RHA Platform; any transmission is at the Users’ own risk.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the RHA Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We advise you not to share a password with anyone.

Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

What information do we disclose to third-parties?

For the information that you personally enter or upload on the RHA Platform or information we collect about you, we categorize the content as either private and public.

  • Private content includes personal information including but not limited to address, location, bookings, etc. that can personally identify you. Private content will not be visible to anyone except you and people with whom you share the private content. Private content will not be cached and archived on our servers.
  • Public content on the other hand is accessible to everyone, including search engines. Other Users can collect, reproduce, comment on, and share all publicly available content on the RHA Platform. We reserve the right to share all public content on any SNS sites or any other online or offline platform.

We will never share any content which is marked as private unless we have your explicit permission from you. We may, however, share your personal information with any member of our Group. The term “Group” includes means, with respect to any person, any entity that is controlled by such person, or any entity that controls such person, or any entity that is under common control with such person, whether directly or indirectly, or, in the case of a natural person, any relative.

We will never rent or sell your personal information to third parties, except with selected third parties, on an anonymized basis, including:

  • Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with you or you enter with the Suppliers, as the case may be.
  • Advertisers and advertising networks that require the data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others.

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our Users (for example, we may inform them that any given number of women in a specified age group clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target. These third parties may collect information about you and your online activities, either on the SNS sites or on other websites, through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies in an effort to understand your interests and deliver to you, advertisements that are tailored to your interests. Please remember that we do not have access to, or control over, the information these third parties may collect. The information practices of these third parties are not covered by this privacy policy. Please note that once your information has become part of the aggregated, anonymized data, such data shall not be affected by your decision to delete your personal information from the RHA Platform.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If the Company or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its Users will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms or and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
What rights do you have over the information?

You are free to amend (add, edit or delete) information on your RHA account by using the RHA Platform or by sending a request to support@repairhomeappliances.com . As noted above, you may opt out from unwanted promotional or transactional e-mail or other messaging services from us by following the instructions in the message. However, until your Account is deleted you will continue to receive all system generated e-mails.

However, there is a strong possibility that copies of publicly available content that we may have collected from other sources e.g., SNS sites will be retained indefinitely in our systems, including in cached and archived pages of the RHA Platform, or if other Users have copied or saved that information. In addition, due to the nature of internet sharing, copies of your content, including content that you have removed or deleted from your Account, may also exist elsewhere on the Internet and be retained indefinitely.

The RHA Platform may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

The RHA Platform Terms of Use and Policies may be changed or updated occasionally to meet regulatory requirements and business standards. Therefore, customers are encouraged to frequently visit the above sections in order to be updated about the changes on the website.
